Scope: Word Search Puzzle (Sopa Letras) Mobile Application & Website

At EfigeniaStudios, we recognize that privacy is important. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use our official website (the “Website”) and our mobile application “Word Search Puzzle” (Sopa Letras) (the “Application”), as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard information.

1. Information Collection

We collect information to provide better services to all our users. The types of information we collect include:

A. Website Information (Landing Page)

Our Website is designed to be purely representational and informative. We do not host user accounts, contact forms, or comments. The information collected on the Website is limited to:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We use GA4 to collect anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics (such as page views, time spent on the page, general location based on IP, and referral sites). This helps us understand how visitors find and interact with our web presentation. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected by Google Analytics on our Website.
  • Essential Cookies: The Website uses small text files (cookies) to save user preferences, such as remembering your choice on our Cookie Consent Banner. You can disable cookies at any time via your browser settings.

B. Application Personal Information

When you create an account to use features in the Application, such as saving progress or playing in the “Online 1v1” mode, we collect:

  • Name or Username: Chosen by you or provided by your Google Account to identify your user profile.
  • Email address: Provided during registration or Google Sign-In for account authentication and communication.
  • User IDs: Unique identifiers provided by Firebase Authentication and our backend servers to link your account to your game progress, Elo ratings, and match history.

C. Application Device and Technical Information

We automatically collect certain information when you access the Application:

  • Unique Device Identifiers: Advertising IDs (like Google Advertising ID / IDFA) used for ad delivery, capping, and analytics.
  • Push Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to deliver game updates, challenges, and push notifications (subject to your device settings and permissions).
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the game (e.g., session duration, levels completed, puzzles solved, and selected user properties).
  • Device Details: Device model, operating system version, system language settings, and connection status.

D. Payments and In-App Purchases

We offer paid features in the Application (such as removing advertisements). All financial transactions are processed securely and exclusively through the official app stores:

  • Third-Party Payment Processors: Transactions are handled by Google Play Store Billing (for Android) and Apple App Store Billing (for iOS).
  • No Collection of Payment Data: We do not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or other financial details. We only receive confirmation/receipt tokens from the app stores to verify purchase status and unlock premium benefits.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

Security & Diagnostics: To detect and fix app crashes (via Firebase Crashlytics) and prevent fraudulent activity.

App Functionality: To sync game progress across devices, manage your online profile, and run matchmaking for the Online 1v1 mode.

Analytics: To understand how users interact with our Website (using GA4) and our Application (using Firebase Analytics), track active user properties, and improve the overall gameplay and web experience.

Communications: To send you relevant push notifications or in-app alerts (e.g., daily challenge streaks or updates) based on your preferences.
